Dunque devi sottomettere (sic) un articolo ad una rivista che richiede lo stile bibliografico Vancouver, che è uno stile puramente numerico; inoltre lo vuole con gli articoli non in ordine di citazione e non in ordine alfabetico. Ivan ti ha detto come fare, ma non sei soddisfatto e chiedi se ci sono altri stili per fare la cosa che vuoi tu; dici anche che gli stili bibliografici di Elsevier consentono quegli stili.
Ma se la tua rivista vuole Vancouver, devi usare Vancouver; ti garantisco che se non lo fai, l’articolo che sottoponi alla rivista viene rigettato immediatamente, sia pure per un dettaglio estetico, che non ha nulla a che vedere con il contenuto. Il fatto che loro vogliano lo stile Vancouver, probabilmente, non dipende solo dal tipo di citazione numerico, ma anche dalla formattazione dei vari campi e dal loro ordine in ogni tipo di pubblicazione gestibile con quello stile. Ho scritto articoli scientifici per molte riviste e so quello che dico; non ci vuole niente ad adattare la prosa ad uno stile puramente numerico, anzi è più facile che non scegliere la prosa in base al tipo di citazione nome-anno, colo nome libero e l’anno fra parentesi, o tutto fra parentesi, o citando solo l’autore, o citando solo l’anno, o…
Sei tu che devi sottometterti alle richieste della rivista, e non loro a derogare dalle loro richieste; oppure scegli un’altra rivista.
Per tua consolazione lo stile standard distribuito con bibtex, unsrt.bst, produce la bibliografia in ordine di citazione, non in ordine alfabetico.
