Cercando un codice per il template mi sono imbattuto in questo:Copiandolo e incollandolo nel mio editor provo a compilare.
Mi da errore, dicendo che non trova il file resume.clsMi sono documentato sul web e le risposte sono varie e non risolvono il problema. Ho scaricato resume.cls di terze parti, messo nella cartella, ricompilato, creato a mano il file… ma niente…
Cosa si cela dietro questo errore?? 😆

Mi da errore, dicendo che non trova il file resume.clsSe hai copiato e incollato nel tuo editor, anche se hai letto le guide, non hai capito quello che hai fatto, perché non hai letto con attenzione.
Casomai copi e incolli il file resume.cls nella stessa cartella di lavoro dovo componi il tuo CV.
Se hai davvero fatto quello che dici di avere fatto, non ha capito come funzionano i programmi di tipocomposizione del sistema TeX. Sarebbe troppo lngo spiegartelo, se rileggi con attenzione il capitolo 3 della guida L’Arte di scrivere con LaTeX di Gordini e Pantieri, capisci la corbelleria che dici di aver fatto, se l’hai fatta per davvero.
Se invece non hai fatto quello che hai scritto, ma ti sei spiegato male, allora dì con chiarezza che cosa hai fatto e forse ti si può dare una mano.

Ecco, ora qui tu non hai commesso nessun errore, …
… salvo, in un certo senso, quello di voler usare un template che non potevi immaginare che fosse fatto con i piedi, come succede spesso quando si scaricano dalla rete cose predigerite.Il primo errore che si presenta è che la classe resume carica il pacchetto geometry con certe opzioni e il template lo ricarica con opzioni diverse; questo è un grave errore e lascia supporre che l’autore del template non l’abbia nemmeno collaudato. Puoi immaginare il resto 😈
Ti dirò di più; il template fa riferimento ad una classe resume.sty; quella che io ho trovato in rete con quel nome, ha comandi completamente diversi da quelli usati nel template. Poiché il nome resume in inglese significa “curriculum vitae”, è evidentemente un nome comune, troppo comune per escludere che ce ne possano essere diversi in rete con lo stesso nome. Ecco quindi l’importanza di restare sul sicuro senza andare a cercare cose “non garantite” in rete, quando il sistema TeX dispone di ottimi pacchetti per costruire i curriculum che servono e che hanno l’aspetto giusto.
A proposito di aspetto: il template che stai usando mediante geometry specifica margini di circa 10mm; forse lo fa per fare stare tutto in una sola pagina, ma qualunque possibile “datore di lavoro” vedendo quella pagina illeggibile, la scarta subito senza nemmeno provare a leggerla. D’altra parte, anche senza essere dei metrologi, leggere nella specificazione di geometry dei margini di 0.4in, cioè di 0,4 pollici, anche se non abbiamo dimestichezza con i pollici (che valgono 25,4 mm) possiamo dare un’occhiata all’ultima falange del nostro pollice, quella che ha l’unghia, e prendere quella misura come una buona stima del pollice. Meno della metà della falange è proprio poco e nessun documento dovrebbe avere margini così piccoli.
Allora, i suggerimenti che ti posso dare sono questi:
1) trova un collega che sia in grado di sistemarti la cosa; oppure
2) lascia perdere questo template e questa classe, e us uno dei tanti pacchetti distribuiti con l’installazione MiKTeX e TeXLive, che dispongono tutti di una buona documentazione in inglese, e che ti permettono di scegliere fra vari modelli di curriculum.
Dai un’occhiata in questo forum all’articolo dedicato ai curriculum in uno dei primi numeri di ArsTeXnica (seleziona la sezione ArsTeXnica e navigaci dentro finché trovi l’articolo — che tra l’altro, se non ricordo male è usato come esempio per una voce bibliografica nella guida L’Arte che hai già sottomano). Naturalmente quell’articolo ha i suoi anni, ma se cerchi con attenzione nel tuo disco fisso dove è installata la tua versione del sistema TeX, ne trovi almeno una mezza dozzina, forse una decina.
Invece di un template devi seguire le istruzioni date nella documentazione; alla fine ti troverai con un curriculum soddisfacente questa o quella norma, per esempio europecv conforme ai requisiti dell’UE; moderncv sembra preferito dal mondo del lavoro; currvita e curve sono più tradizionali; eccetera. In tutti puoi scrivere nella lingua che preferisci, se non direttamente, almeno con una serie di piccole personalizzazioni.
Moderncv ti permette una varietà di stili enorme.

Perfetto, grazie mille dell’aiuto 😀Da neofita credevo di essere incapace io con qualche codice e riga… ma se il codice del tizio è poco funzionante, c’è poco da farci!
Guarderò i vari modelli di CV che mi hai consigliato. Questo mi era saltato all’occhio perché sembrava Smart e tutto raccolto 🙂
