A parte l’opportunità di mettere dei miniindici all’inizio dei capitoli o, nel caso di articoli, delle sezioni (cosa di cui nutro i più seri dubbi…) hai letto la documentazione fino alla pagina 25/26? dove c’è scritto esattamente che cosa si deve fare con la classe article?

Il mio intento e’ di poter scrivere un documento magari a due colonne, come nel template, che mantenga un indice, nel modo piu’ semplice possibile. Sto traducendo delle cose dall’inglese in italiano e mi serverebbe solo organizzarle su un documento e non vorrei utilizzare il pacchetto Office perche’ non mi piace la formattazione.

Qui nel forum, nella sezione Documentazione, da dove probabilmente hai cliccato per scaricare quel testo di Lorenzo Pantieri, ci sono altre guide, alcune generali, altre tematiche. Proseguendo con i testi di Pantieri dovresti poter scaricare il testo LaTeXpedia, che approfondisce ed estende L’Arte. Ma c’è anche L’arte della composizione tipografica con LaTeX, decisamente più avanzata, o almeno così mi sembra; poi ci sono una quindicina di guide tematiche un po’ su tutto il mondo di LaTeX; io ti consiglierei fra le altre: Il LaTeX Reference Manual commentato; Comporre in italiano; Comporre matematica, Le tabelle; le altre servono per gestire problemi talvolta specifici ma meno fondamentali. Quelle che ti ho indicato sono forse le più importanti; ma certe volte conviene approfondire alcuni argomenti speciali.

Ho provato a seguire i suggerimenti ma si blocca proprio alle righe con il comando` \secttocs`

Tornando al tuo commento. Certo che mi piace LaTeX, altrimenti non avrei questi commenti qui sul forum.
Mi avete aiutato con tesi, curriculum ed ora per un semplice documento di appunti.
Lo ammetto, avevo letto il pdf 7-8 anni fa poi piu’ toccato. Leggendo anche su forum in lingua anglosassone, in molti preferiscono questo strumento a Word Office. Anche per me vale la stessa cosa, la qualita’ dell’impaginazione non ha confronti. Il problema e’ che si vuole qualcosa di veloce si fa molte volte riferimento a Office, forze perche’ piu’ pratico. Ma vorrei come detto un paio di post fa, prendimi il tempo per capire questo software per fare documenti semplici, come scrivere note, e riferire alle cose giornaliere che potrebbero tornarmi utili in ambito lavorativo come a casa quando studio o preparo del materiale.

Caro Claudio ho fatto un po’ di confusione e sicuramente sono io a spiegarmi male.

Inizialmente ho usato un template per creare un documento. Questo documento e’ diviso in sezioni e volevo semplicemente l’indice di ogni sezione o eventuale sottosezione all’interno del documento.

Seguendo il tuo suggerimento anche se inserisco dopo la \section{Introduction} \secttocs ho degli errori. L’ho visto su internet ed ho copiato.

Vedi che continui a spiegarti male?

Tu vuoi semplicemente un solo indice che contenga l’indicazione delle pagne dove si trovano le sezioni e sottosezioni. \tableofcontents fa al caso tuo e non hai nessun bisogno di minitoc né di altri pacchetti che creano indici parziali relativi solo a ciascuna sezione di alto livello.

Punto.

E siccome l’uso di \tableofcontents è descritto in ogni guida, dalla più elementare alla più avanzata, non vedo perché hai posto questa domanda sul forum.
