LuaLaTeX qualche volta ricostruisce cache, oppure fa altre cose “strane” che ad un’osservazione superficiale se,brano blocchi.Però sarebbe interessante sapere con quale distribuzione del sistema TeX stai lavorando; certamente l’hai scritto in altri messaggio, ma diventa difficile ritrovarlo; ma sarebbe anche importante sapere del tuo sistema operativo; della versione di Lua(…)TeX; La parte (…) potrebbe essere niente oppure HB, o altre sigle; lo trovi all’inizio del file log. Che cosa succede se “uccidi” il processo? Ogni sistema operativo hamodo di Uccidere un processo bloccato; Sul MAc si clicca sulla mela e nel menu che si apre si sceglie “Force Quit” e nel sottomeno si seleziona il processo da “uccidere”. Su Linux si va nel terminael ci si fa elencare i processi in esecuzione, si individua il numero che corrisponede all’esecuzione del LuaLaTeX, e poi si da il comando “kill …” (cosa scrivere al posto dei puntini lo scopri legggendoti prima il man del comando Kill. Su windows non so come si faccia, ma sono quasi sicuro che fra le varie azioni che si possono fare cliccando su Avvio, ce n’è una per chiudere l’esecuzione di un programma.
Dopo l’arresto probabilmente ti ritrovi il file .aux nel quale puoi vedere all’inzio che versione dll’onterprete stai usando e verso il fondo che coas l’interprete stava facendo al momento dell’arresto.

Dovresti fornirci un file che ti da il blocco e dirci su che OS stai lavorando.
Altrimenti non saprei cosa suggerirti visto l’elevato numero di casi possibili, compreso problemi hardware.

Grazie delle risposte. Non sono sono al PC, domani vedo. Intanto uso texlive 2020 a 64bit su Windows 10. Io per uccidere un programma ho sempre usato C-z. Non ho fornito mwe perché LuaLaTeX si blocca con tutti i tipi di files ed eseguendo compiti diversi. A quel punto, premo enter e la compilazione riparte. Su Google ho trovato che potrebbero esserci problemi con i permessi.Grazie. Ciao,

Stabiliamo dei punti fermi.
Ti allego un file di test da compilare più volte con il tuo lualatex.
Puoi dirci cosa accade esattamente e postare il log?[attachment=2446]test.tex[/attachment]
La questione 32/64bit è “strana” nel senso che su Windows vengono installati i binari a 32bit.
Quelli a 64bit ci sono ma devono essere installati a parte. Ma forse è una novità di TeX Live 2020 che mi è sfuggita.Se hai installato versioni diverse dalla 32bit, la mia ipotesi è che le compilazione lanciate dall’editor possano dare effetti indesiderati. Prova a compilare direttamente da terminale.
Da quel che vedo dalla guida di TeX Live 2020 è possibile installare i binari a 64bit compilati con Cygwin on x86_64 (x86_64-cygwin) (opzione b).Dal file di log si dovrebbe capire cosa hai installato.

Davide, nella rpima riga del file .log c’è scritto W32TeX, che indica “Versione del sistema TeX per Windows a 32 bit”.Invece in fondo non vedo il messaggio che l’output è stato salvato nel file kant.pdf. Forse non ho guardato bene?
Noto anche che il tuo babel ha la versione 3.44, di maggio 2020. Io invece ho la versione 3.45 di giungo 2020. Ricordati di aggiornare sempre la tua installazione con il tlmgr.exe al massimo ogni 10 giorni. Non so se babel “vecchi” sia la causa dei tuoi problemi, ma, ripeti l’esperimento dopo avere aggiornato la tua installazione.
Io ho compilato l’esempio test.tex che ho rinominato per non usare sempre lo stesso nome che confligge con altri nomi simili, e ho modficato al riga magica perché il mio editor non interpreta correttamente quella che si trovava nel file originale:`% !TEX TS-program = LuaLaTeX

Cliccando sul link log26.txt si legge che il file pdf è stato prodotto e che consta di 20 pagine. Devi andare a leggere le ultime, diciamo. 30 righe del .log per trovare quelle indicazioni.
Quello che ho osservato, però, è che ci sono dei riferimenti incrociati “multiply defined”. Non escludo nemmeno che ci siano anche pagine numerate con lo stesso numero (che sia o non sia stampato, quindi visibile sulla pagina, non ha importanza).
