Some macros to produce twin figures

Nei libri di argomento umanistico può succedere di dover mostrare due immagini da commentare avendo entrambe visibili vicino al testo che le riguarda. Le macro proposte consentono di affiancare due figure adeguatamente scalate in modo che le immagini e le didascalie appaiano allineate e della stessa altezza.

Con qualche semplice artificio è possibile inserire uno accanto all’altro due disegni eseguiti con i pacchetti per disegnare di LaTeX.

Abstract

In humanistic texts it may be necessary to show two images close to one another, so as to have both of them visible at the same time and close to the text that contains suitable comments. The macros that are being proposed in this paper allow to set both images, suitably scaled and with their captions, so that they lay on the same line with the same height.

With some trickery it is possible to insert side by side two drawings made with the LaTeX drawing packages.
