Non compila Beamer e Prosper

Salve! Ho un problema di compilazione: se la classe e’ “beamer” o “prosper”, mi da’ il messaggio: “I couldn’t open file name […]” seguito da “couldn’t file input index file […]” e chiude quindi con:

Latex Result(s): 0 Error(s), 0 Warning(s), 0 Bad Box(es), 0 Page(s).

Il problema non sussiste in file, anche complicati, scritti in classe “article” o “slides”.
Ho provato togliendo gli spazi nel percorso, rendendo i file di semplicita’ elementare:

\documentclass{prosper}
\begin{document}

\end{document}

e aggiornando i pacchetti di Miktex (ovviamente beamer e prosper rientrano nei pacchetti scaricati), ma niente. Ho anche messo, per prosper, i file “propser.cls”, “PPRtime” e “PPRmpa” nella stessa cartella del file tex, senza risultato.
Ho letto su questo forum che poteva esser d’aiuto andar a modificar una voce (“create index” su “Project”) che pero’ e’ segnata in grigio e quindi indisponibile.
Avete suggerimenti per ulteriori tentativi?

Edit: son poi riuscito ad andar su Project/Properties ma anche senza la spunta su “Uses Makeindex” non cambia nulla…
