Once again, thank you for answering.
I started using “eledmac” as you and Doc suggested and I am trying to make all the changes needed in my original document.
What I needed, as you said, is an unbroken numbering of line for stanza but a broken for prose (2).
I tried to follow your suggestion and set my preamble and it worked perfectly for the first two stanzas (with prose section in between): like this

..but if i add another prose section and another stanza (I have to do it 60 times) it all changes, and goes like this:

So I have the following problems:
1) The first stanza verse numbering is correct, the following are incorrect (for example the counter in stanza II does not start from verse 13, but from verse 50)
2) Everytime I make a change and refresh to get a new PdF output file, the verse line counter increases
[attachment:1]C:\fakepath\test Pdf.pdf[/attachment]

Maybe I have done something wrong, but I spent a lot of time tying before bothering you again…unfortunaly I was not able to make it work by myself!
