La versione 1.20 è abbastanza vecchiotta e presenta ancora qualche complessità d’installazione. Il mio consiglio resta quello di scaricare la 2.0 o successive.
Premesso questo, per installare la 1.20 segui esattamente queste istruzioni (in inglese):
scompatta tutti i file:
1 create a new directory named miktex.org in the mainlevel c:\
2 extract all1_20.zip into miktex.org
poi devi aggiornare la path:
1 click on start, them programme->accessories->Editor
2 File-> Open and C:\autoexec.bat in the space called filename (Return!)
* if there is no path entered into your autoexec.bat, you will have to add the following line: `set PATH=%PATH%;c:\texmf\miktex\bin`
* otherwise add `;c:\texmf\miktex\bin` to the existing PATH
3 save the file
4 leave the editor
infine crea le cartelle e lancia il setup:
1 create a new directory named mytex at the mainlevel c:\
2 create inside this directory two dir, named doc and tex
3 create another dir called latex inside the tex directory
4 open the directory miktex.org and start the program setupwiz.exe
a questo punto accetta sempre le impostazioni proposte di default fino alla fine e non dovreti avere grossi problemi.
