Trovi le indicazioni nel contenuto del file framed.sty: http://www.ctan.org/pkg/framed.

% The “framed” environment uses “\fbox” as its “\FrameCommand” with
% the additional settings \fboxrule=\FrameRule and \fboxsep=\FrameSep.
% You can change these lengths (using \setlength) and you can change
% the definition of \FrameCommand to use much fancier boxes.

Ho fatto una prova e l’effetto che si ottiene è inquietante. 🙂

Aggiungo: meglio nessun riquadro; il pacchetto framed mette a disposizione altri ambienti [coi quali si possono ottenere effetti] più “soft”.
