La risposta di Andrè:
Dear Lorenzo,
I was expecting such an e-mail (especially from you), when we made the
design decisions of v3.0.The main reason why the changes are as they are is the compatibility
of classicthesis with LyX, which is the main driver behind v3.0. For
example, the …preamble.sty is used as an preamble in LyX…that’s
where the name comes from. I worked on this compatibility with LyX
experts from Canada and Croatia and I have to admit that I wasn’t very
happy with the new structure we came up…at the beginning. However, to make a long story short, we tested the new design
thoroughly, published on the Google Code page (with lots of downloads
for the beta versions) and didn’t get any (more) complaints or
troubleshooting requests during these several months. From the users’ reception, LyX compatibility is the way to go (just
look at the downloads:
http://code.google.com/p/classicthesis/downloads/list) even it means
to sacrifice some of the “don’t change .sty-files” rules.I hope you understand. ;-\
All the best and thanks for your input,
André
