Ok, ha funzionato:
`C:\Documents and Settings\user>updmap-sys –syncwithtrees
Config file: “C:/Programmi/texlive/2011/texmf-config/web2c/updmap.cfg”
PTSans-type1.map disabled
PTSerif-type1.map disabled
`

Evidentemente al mio tentativo precedente sullo stesso comando sbagliavo qualcosa.
