formattazione tabelle – Gruppo Utilizzatori Italiani di TeX

ciao a tutti,
quando compilo ottengo una tabella su due pagine.
Le linee (ottenute con “midrule”) delle pagine di destra dovrebbero essere
il proseguimento ideale di quelle di sinistra.
Ma il titolo lungo della tabella lo impedisce.
Purtroppo non posso in nessun modo accorciare i titoli delle tabelle.
Qualche idea ? grazie,

  Perché inserire decine di righe di codice che non usi affatto? Che c’entra questo con la sezione sulla tipografia? 🙄
  `\contcaption{cont.\hspace*{\textwidth minus 80pt}\\\mbox{}}`
  Togli la parte “minus 80pt” e guarda il messaggio di “Overfull” relativo, quindi riaggiungilo sostituendo 80pt con il numero che viene fuori.
  
  Naturalmente lo specificatore [!h] è sbagliato. Così come l’uso degli inesistenti ambienti scriptsize; basta scrivere \scriptsize.

  grazie per la risposta. ho seguito il suggerimento, ma non individuo
  nessun “overfull” nel file log. ❓
  
  un problema addizionale è che devo compilare MOLTE
  tabelle alcune con un titolo breve, altre con tiolo lungo, altre lunghissimo. e
  la tua soluzione (se ho ben capito come funziona) mi sembra richiedere un
  interevento puntuale su ciascuna di esse.
  iil che la rende un pò onerosa in termini di tempo.

  il suggerimento di Enrico (quando l’ho capito) si è rivelato utilissimo. (grazie ancora)
  
  Il problema nuovo è che mi chiedono (“all’occorrenza” ) di far
  proseguire il titolo di una tabella che occupa più di una linea di testo
  sulla facciata di destra (anzichè sulla seconda linea della facciata di sinistra come avviene attualmente).
  
  Ad esempio nel caso di :
  
  `\begin{table}
  \caption{parola parola parola parola parola parola parola parola parola}
  \end{table}
  `
  
  le prime (n) occorrenze di “parola” andrebbero sulla facciata di sinistra,
  mentre le rimanenti (N-n), opportunamente allineate,
  su quella di destra.
  
  a proposito, sto utilizzando:
  
  `\documentclass[12pt,a4paper,twoside]{book}`
