Salve, a tutti! è da molto che non scrivo qui. Ora mi sto impegnando sul curriculum e quindi rispolvero LaTeX
Mi piacerebbe utilizzare i numeri in formato oldstyle di default per tutto il documento… i font che dovrei usare sono iwona e kurier.
So che l’opzione \oldstylenums{numero} mi permette di impostare il numero nell’argomento in formato oldstyle, ma ho un documento con tantissimi numeri (soprattutto date), e avrei bisogno di impostare l’oldstyle di default. Idee?

Perché devi usare quei font?
con pdflatex puoi avere i numeri oldstyle con i latin modern se carichi il pacctto crt-lm, invece di lmodern.Con Xelatex, invece, puoi specificarli come default nella scelta dei font fatta con fontspec. Se non conosci xelatex, leggiti la guida di Enrico introxelatex.pdf

@OldClaudio: La motivazione che mi spinge a usare proprio questi font è che sono gli unici senza grazie che mi piacciono. Se però qualcuno di voi ne conosce di simili, ma con la possibilità anzidetta di usare i numeri in formato oldstyle di default mi faccia un fischio 🙂 I latin modern purtroppo non sono affatto simili (e comunque non mi piacciono).
@egreg9: Infatti volevo dire Iwona o Kurier, ho sbagliato la congiunzione.. 😛In ogni caso proverò questo XeLaTeX… purtroppo per me è roba totalmente nuova, speriamo bene.
Più che altro non esiste una qualche serie di comandi da dare nel frontespizio per dire di utilizzare i numeri oldstyle di default?

È piuttosto esplicito:*** you should *not* be loading the inputenc package *** XeTeX expects the source to be in UTF8 encoding *** some features of other encodings may conflict, resulting in poor output.Se compili con Xe(La)TeX, il sorgente deve essere in UTF-8, quindi inputenc non è solo inutile ma forse dannoso.

Ciao Tom,il codice che ti è stato passato come lo compili? Devi fare in modo che venga usato il compilatore XeLaTeX, e non pdfLaTeX. Quindi, io ti propongo due soluzioni:
- Crea un nuovo file tex dove copi il codice di esempio che ti è stato passato (attento che l’editor salvi effettivamente con la codifica UTF-8 il file). Spostati nel prompt dei comandi nella cartella in cui hai salvato quel file e dai il comando xelatex nomefile.tex;
- Apri TeXworks, copia il codice (controllando che in basso a destra ci sia scritto “UTF-8”) e salva il file tex. Ora, in alto a sinistra c’è un elenco dove puoi selezionare il compilatore; seleziona XeLaTex e premi ctrl+T.
Spero di esserti stato utile, altrimenti facci sapere che sistema operativo usi, che distribuzione TeX hai, e che passaggi segui. Intanto buon weekend,
Marco.P.S. L’editor TeXworks viene installato con la distribuzione TeX Live; non so se valga la stessa cosa per MiKTeX (io comunque ti consiglio di usare TeX Live). In ogni caso se non lo hai installato puoi scaricarlo gratuitamente dalla rete.

Ho fatto esattamente il tuo procedimento. Confermo che uso TexWorks, e in basso a destra c’è messo UTF-8 come hai detto tu. In alto a sinistra ho selezionato XeLaTeX.
