Problema compilazione

    Salve a tutti! Avevo scritto un documento tempo fa e andò tutto bene. Oggi per fare una modifica ho aperto il documento .tex ma non compila. Per essere chiaro premo sulla freccia ma non gira, da solo un messaggio quasi istantaneamente. Cosa potrebbe essere?

        Prima di tutto vi ringrazio per avermi risposto.
        Allego l’immagine con il messaggio. Ma la cosa strana non è il messaggio in se ma è il fatto che quando clicco sulla freccia la rotella non gira !! (scusate il linguaggio grezzo). L’editor dovrebbe essere MixTex.

          In realtà MikTeX è la distribuzione e quindi usi Windows. L’editor che usi mi sembra TeXmaker o TeXstudio. I messaggi di errori che alleghi non dovrebbero bloccare la compilazione, quindi il problema è altrove. Dovresti postare almeno la parte finale del file di log.

          Mi sembra che stai lavorando con Texmaker. Ma come motore hai impostato (volutamente o no) XeTeX?
          E sembra che il pdf nella cartella sia stato creato … dice: Output written on TNV_ex.pdf (24 pages).

          Sicuro che non c’è?

              Allora il programma di compilazione è andato in crash.

              Probabilmente devi reinstallare il sistema TeX; visto che ci sei, non reinstallare MiKTeX, a installa TeXLive per Windows; metodologia descritta anche nella nuova versione de L’Arte di scrivere con LaTeX; se non ne disponi ancora scaricala dal link indicato nella sezione Documentazione di questo forum.

                  Infatti i sembrava una comleta “templataggine” quella di compilare xon xelatex un file non predisposto per xelatex; dovrebbe compilare lo stesso, e infatti compilava a metà gennaio. Ma usare xelatex senza usare i font opentype è come prendere una Ferrari per andare al bar dall’altra parte della strada…:smile:

                    Ciao alco1900,

                    ti do alcuni suggerimenti per il futuro: per prima cosa leggiti una buona guida di LaTeX (ti consiglio LaTeX per l’impaziente) così cominci a prendere coscienza dello strumento con cui stai lavorando.
                    In secondo luogo come vedi qui c’è gente veramente in gamba con LaTeX ma sono in gamba, non indovini, quindi quando hai un problema ti suggerisco di scrivere quale distribuzione e quale editor usi e soprattutto posta il codice da compilare in modo che chi legge la tua domanda possa scaricarlo e vedere cosa stai facendo.

                      Ahimè, no, xelatex non è un generatore di PDF; per lavorare con il linguaggio LaTeX hai tre programmi da usare pdflatex, xelatex, e lualatex, elencati in ordine di complessità e ricchezza di funzionalità.

                      Non per la velocità di composizione, ma tutti e tre riescono a compilare un file sorgente compilabile con pdflatex.
                      Ma pdflatex non può usare i font OpenType, gli altri due sì; xelatex produce un pdf per trasformazione di un formato DVI esteso, quindi cn le limitazioni funzionali del formato DVI; inoltre non può usare pienamente la microgiustificat=zione; lualatex è leggermente più lento, ma non ha lie limitazioni dei primi due e in più incorpora l’interprete per il linguaggio di scripting Lua.
                      È chiaro che se non ha le limitazioni di pdflatex puoi fare cose che pdflatex non può fare. È altrettanto chiaro che per avere più funzionalità devi consumare più risorse del calcolatore. di conseguenza dovrebbe essere sempre chiaro che bisogna usare quello dei tre programmi che dispone delle funzionalità necessarie per un dato documento, senza eccedere con funzionalità che non servono per quel documento.

                        La risposta più semplice: da linea comando
                        più realisticamente dipende dall’editor che usi per modificare il template
                        per esempio su texstudio è semplicissimo, c’è l’apposito pulsante
                        ma così alla cieca è difficile rispondere

                          O ci alleghi il template su cui stai lavorando o ci dai il link da cui scaricarlo.
                          Se sul template c’è scritto compilare con xelatex e non viene usata dentro il file nessuna funzionalità di xelatex, allora chi ha fatto il template non sapeva bene che cosa diceva e in particolare se le cose stanno così, vuol dire che non c’è da fidarsi di usarlo.
                          Tuttavia se ci fai avere qualcosa su cui lavorare, forse si riesce a cavare il ragno dal buco.

                          Io scarico sul pc la cartella texlive2016.iso. Dopodichè la decomprimo in una cartella con lo stesso nome ed eseguo come amministratore il file install-tl-windows.bat .
                          A questo punto mi si apre il prompt dei comandi ma non succede nulla.

                            Comunque in questo caso io ti consiglio di tentare l’installazione di tipo netinstall:
                            http://tug.org/texlive/acquire-netinstall.html

                            Si opera con una sorta di wizard ed è più semplice.
                            Certo è un peccato non sfruttare la iso che hai già scaricato, ma questo richiede qualche conoscenza in più su come funziona una iso su Windows e perciò te ne ho chiesto la versione.

                              Se è così non devi decomprimere il file ISO, ma devi cliccarci sopra e Win10 se lo monta come se fosse un DVD; se non parte da sola l’autoinstallazione, vai nel DVD “virtuale” e clicca autoinst. (ha un’estensione, ma non lo posso vedere sul mio calcolatore che non è Windows.
