[XeLaTeX] warning fontspec Style=Italic

    Salve a tutti,
    ho da poco scoperto XeLaTeX che mi è davvero utilie perché volevo usare i miei font, ma ottengo degli Warning che non riesco a capire.

    Anzitutto quando uso un font che ha il corsivo (Tipo l’Adobe Jenson Pro, o anche Linux Libertine) l’opzione Style=Italic dice che non è supportata, mentre \itshape funziona (che differenza c’è tra i due?). Poi ci sono diversi warning su shape non supportate o non definite, infine c’è continuamente un warning sull’uso di OldStyleNumbers ridefinito che mi infastidisce assai.
    C’è modo di sistemare? Ringrazio anticipatamente.

        Ammesso che funzioni (e non funziona) che senso ha specificare \itshape e Style=Italic?

        Devo fare un libretto, in cui alcuni titoli devono essere in corsivo e gli unici modi che conosco per fare il corsivo sono \itshape (o \textit{}) e questo nuova modalità di fontspec che non funziona.
        Volevo sapere che differenza c’è tra le due e, a questo punto, visto che mi chiedi il senso se ce n’è un’altra più appropriata che non conosco.

        In più vorrei capire cosa significano gli altri warning che compaiono nel log e se si possono togliere in un qualche modo. Io ho sempre lavorato in LaTeX e quindi non sono pratico di XeLaTeX anche se ho letto che è circa uguale a parte per il pacchetto fontspec.

        Per quanto riguarda la documentazione ho letto nel pdf la parte relativa agli stili ma non sono riuscito a trovare nulla di utile,

          Nel file fontspec.pdf al §4.1 c’è scritto quel che ti serve, se il font lo possiede quando dai il comando \textit{…} o specifichi la dichiarazione \itshape il font corsivo viene trovato immediatamente; è una specialità dei font OpenType. Se vuoi delle caratterisitche speciali per il corsivo, puoi per esempio averlo sempre verde se specifichi ItalicShape=… — vedi §7.4. Se vuoi usare un certo font, per esempio Linux Libertine O in generale, ma per la forma corsiva ne vuoi usare un altro font §6.1.

          La feature “Style” riguarda varianti dello stesso font che può darti glifi diversi a seconda dello stile scelto, si tratta degli “stylistic sets; vedi esempio 28 e non si invoca con il nme Style, ma con “CharacterVariant”.

          Il tuo file .log è molto lungo perché è così sempre, quando usi xelatex. C’è un solo errore/warning che corrisponde all’uso della paola Style. Cancella quella specificazione con \addfontfeatures e tutto va a posto.
