    Grazie a tutti per le risposte. Dopo un periodo in cui non ho potuto dedicarmi a queste questioni, oggi finalmente riesco ad occuparmene nuovamente. Fino ad ora ho sempre usato LaTeX con la catena DVI->ps->PDF ed avrei continuato così se non avessi avuto il problema con il pacchetto underscore. Come suggerito da OldClaudio, ho letto la guida di PdfTricks ed ora, usando PdfLaTeX (con TeXStudio e TexLive2025) mi compila il codice senza errori, ma non mi visualizza il disegno.
    Credo di dover fare ancora qualcosa (OldClaudio mi ha suggerito di dare da terminale/finestra comandi il comando texdoc pdftriks) e nella guida si parla di Shell escape, ma in entrambi i casi non ho capito e non so cosa fare. Vi chiederei qualche delucidazione in merito.

    Ho provato a ruotare una tabella con il pacchetto rotating e il comando sidewaystable.
    Se nel preambolo uso il comando twoside, la tabella ruota a seconda che si trovi in una pagina pari o dispari.
    Se utilizzo il comando opzionale \usepackage[counterclockwide]{rotating} la tabella non ruota, restando con il lato inferiore a destra.
    Vorrei capire cosa non sta funzionando.

    La scritta xB0 compare al posto del simbolo ° in ogni posto in cui è stato digitato.

    Per quanto riguarda l’uso di un programma rispetto ad un altro è direi una scelta di abitudine; ognuno può preferirne uno che qualcun altro non ritiene adeguato.

    Per quanto riguarda la terza colonna, “Risultato” è matematicamente, logicamente e didatticamente sbagliato. La locuzione “per ogni x in R” è quanto di peggio si possa immaginare.

    Ottengo il riempimento, sebbene non abbia capito come fare in modo che il simbolo utilizzato non esca dai bordi del rettangolo usato e che lo riempia proprio tutto.

    Non sono, invece, riuscito a sostituire al simbolo matematico un punto di pstricks (comando \psdot[]) .

    No.
    Comunque…sulla guida pstricks vi sono stili di riempimento predefiniti (none, solid, vlines, vlines*, hlines, hlines*, crosshatch, crosshatch*) di un’area ad esempio di un rettangolo. Io vorrei riempire il rettangolo semplicemente con dei puntini.

    In stampa compare il tratteggio. A questo punto userò il pacchetto mnsymbol che non mi da problemi sebbene non mi piaccia troppo come rende il comando \wideparen.
