        In effetti pensandoci dopo aver eseguito pdflatex eseguivo bibtex (su TeXworks non c’è di default il comando per eseguire biber) e mi usciva un log così:
        `This is BibTeX, Version 0.99d (TeX Live 2012)
        The top-level auxiliary file: prova4.aux
        I found no \citation commands—while reading file prova4.aux
        I found no \bibdata command—while reading file prova4.aux
        I found no \bibstyle command—while reading file prova4.aux
        (There were 3 error messages)`

        Facendo invece biber da terminale e due volte pflatex scompaiono tutti i warning ti biblatex di prima tranne questo
        `Package biblatex Warning: No “backend” specified, using Biber backend.
        (biblatex) To use BibTeX, load biblatex with
        (biblatex) the “backend=bibtex” option.`
        però la bibliografia compare e sembra tutto a posto. O bisogno indagare questo ultimo warning? Ma che differenza c’è fra biber e bibtex? È possibile cambiare le opzioni dell’editor in modo che mi usi il primo invece del secondo?

          Che stupido che sono, mi sono dimenticato di dire che uso TeXworks. Ho cambiato la directory e adesso sembra funzionare. L’hyphenation di babel la riconosce e il pacchetto bibliography lo trova. Ho però un problema con quest’ultimo, non so se legato ancora alla questione delle directory. In sostanza compilo questo file

              Sono costretto a riscrivere perché ho ancora dei problemi. Ho reinstallato TeXlive 2012 sul mio Linux Mint usando questa guida. Rispetto alle impostazioni di default per unix l’ho installato nella cartella `~/texlive`

              Di conseguenza, pur non capendoci niente ho modificato il file .profile aggiungendo le ultime tre righe. Adesso è così:

              Come potete vedere non trova il pacchetto biblatex. Nonostante ciò ho controllato su tlmgr e risulta installato (avevo fatto installazione completa). Dov’è il problema? Poi, fra l’altro, è normale che pur trattandosi di Texlive 2012 compaia nel log “TeX Live 2009/Debian”?
