Ciao, OldClaudio!Credo di non essere in grado di creare tale tabella, che poi andrebbe estesa anche ai fonts dell’Estranghelo… Oggi, però, per sbaglio, ho aperto il file che ho utilizzato come esempio per XESyriac anziché con TeXStudio con TeXShop: le lettere siriache venivano visualizzate molto bene. Allora ho impostato come font predefinito il Serto Batnan: i font vengono riconosciuti… Certo, preferisco sempre come editor TeXStudio, ma… non si può avere tutto. Ho fatto una prova anche con TeXWorks e TeXMaker: entrambi non riconoscono il font siriaco.
In ogni caso, grazie di tutto. Se per caso dovessi avere qualche novità, la segnalerò qui sul forum, a vantaggio di altri interessati.

Grazie, OldClaudius, per la tua disponibilità e per il tuo aiuto!Riguardo a XeSyriac, effettivamente avevo omesso la tilde… Ora ho corretto e… funziona! Tra l’altro, è un pacchetto che ha molteplici ed utili funzionalità. L’unico problema è quello del font che non appare in TeXStudio, il che rende XeSyriac praticamente inutilizzabile… Che cosa intendi quando parli di un pacchetto che funga da interfaccia?

Buona sera, OldClaudio! Salvete omnes!Anzitutto, ex toto corde paenitet me peccatorum meorum… Ho cercato di far debita penitenza e ho eseguito il comando che mi hai indicato.
Impostando il font Serto Batnan o anche altri OT siriaci sia in Generali sia in Editor delle preferenze di TeXStudio, continuo a non visualizzare i caratteri siriaci: vedo i soliti rettangolini… Con Word, per esempio, e con Mellel visualizzo correttamente; è come se TexStudio non riconoscesse la tastiera siriaca virtuale che uso per scrivere. Quanto a XeSyriac, ho copiato i file .sty, .dtx e .ins nelle cartelle di /Library/texmf, ma ottengo sempre come errore “xesyriac.sty not found”.

Ok, sono riuscito ad usare otfinfo: risulta che i fonts OpenType per il siriaco sono configurati per il… siriaco, appunto:

Leggendo le informazioni dal Libro Font, invece, fra le lingue risulta supportato anche l’italiano ed è altresì indicato che lo script è Latino.

Dunque, ho provato ad usare otfinfo dal terminale; probabilmente però sbaglio qualcosa… Ho digitato nel terminale il comando `otfinfo [-sfzpvag] [Serto Batnan]`, ottenendo come risposta `otfinfo: supply exactly one query option
otfinfo: Type otfinfo –help for more information.`.
Ho provato allora a inserire comunque Serto Batnan (ed anche altri OpenType) come font sia dalle preferenze di TeXStudio (sia “Generali” sia “Editor”); in ogni caso, permangono i rettangolini al posto dell’alfabeto siriaco.
Cercando un po’ in rete ho trovato un pacchetto per XeLaTeX che dovrebbe permettere di scriver in siriaco, XeSyriac, ma, pur avendo seguito le istruzioni, quando compilo mi vien dettoxesyriac.sty not found
…

Salve a tutti!Noto con soddisfazione che il mio post ha suscitato notevole interesse… (Perdonate l’autoironia) Mi rendo conto che il problema è difficile soluzione. Volevo solo aggiungere che, ovviamente, ho provato ad ovviare usando XeLaTeX: il risultato è soddisfacente; l’unico problema è che, quando scrivo in siriaco nella finestra dell’editor (TeXStudio), invece dei caratteri visualizzo solo una fila di rettangolini appoggiati sul rigo (lato corto), per cui, se dopo aver compilato riscontro qualche errore di battitura, non so dove andare a parare per correggerlo…
Allego un esempio minimo contenente l’incipit del Padre Nostro, qualora possa esser d’aiuto.

Quanto ai problemi col greco, in generale non ne ho: sono comparsi solo quando ho commentato
