cosìccome è scritto oltre al problema della lunghezza c’è anche quello della numerazione che ti partirà da 0.1 proprio perché manca \chapter. Se invece usi il pacchetto fancyhdr puoi far risultare questa “sezione lunga” nell’intestazione e magari modificare se c’è bisogno headheight con \setlength{\headheight}{15.2pt}.

Un titolo così lungo è ridondante e inutile, con rispetto parlando. Semplicemente riformulandolo si risolvono tutti i problemi, anche nell’indice generale. A meno di non aver capito male il problema dell’amico. Provare per credere.

\end{document}Il tuo problema non è nel titolo in sé, ma nella testatina, almeno da quello che fai vedere nell’immagine.
Soluzioni:
1. Riformula il titolo rendendolo un titolo nominale. Hai mille possibilità per farlo. “Poteri costruttivi, donativi, di scambio”; “Tre tipi di poteri”; “Tre categorie di poteri”; “Le tre cagorie di poteri”; “I poteri: una classificazione”, e via discorrendo.
2. Ridefinire la testatina con un pacchetto adatto.
Occhio che il problema ti si ripresenterà nell’indice generale, con un orribile titolo su due righe.
È vero che NON SEMPRE si può riformulare un titolo in modo che stia su una riga, ma molte volte sì. Questo è uno di quei casi.

Sto cercando di scrivere un libro in Latex, e ho un paio di difficoltà, per esempio con i titoli delle varie sezioni.
Quando inserisco un titolo di una \section, a volte capita che io lo debba fare molto lungo, magari anche di due righe di testo.
Il problema è che quando visualizzo il pdf ovviamente la scritta non viene passata su due righe, ma a volte sborda, e a volte diventa lunga tanto da postare il numero della pagina.
Come potrei fare per rendere il titolo su due righe diverse?
Ho provato anche a scrivere una cosa come:\section{testo testo \\
testo testo}ma non serve, perchè in cima alla pagina continua a visualizzarmi tutto il titolo della sezione come una cosa unica che sborda fuori dal foglio A4.

Potresti farci vedere il codice che ti dà problemi, per esempio, completo di preambolo e di una minima parte compilabile che riproduca il tuo problema.Ciao

Uso Debian Linux come s.o. e TexStudio 2.2 come editor.
L’acclimatazione alla filosofia LateX è stata relativamente indolore, ma non riesco a trovare uno strumento dei wordprocessor a me molto caro .
Si tratta del completamento automatico del testo (e non dei comandi, per questi ci sono tutte le funzionalità desiderabili su TS) o della correzione automatica personalizzata.
Quando ho scritto la tesi del triennio, ho usato openoffice writer personalizzando la correzione automatica, il che mi permetteva di battere (facendo esempi del tutto casuali)
“stig” per ottenere “stigmatizzazione” o “antropm” per avere “antropologicamente” e via di seguito, velocizzando la scrittura.Esiste qualche opzione analoga in TeXStudio che permette il medesimo comportamento? Come impostarla?
Altrimenti, esiste qualche altro editor dotato di thesaurus (è questa la ragione che mi ha portato a TeXStudio) che includa il complemento/correzione automatica?Grazie mille per ogni consiglio
Non so se esista uno strumento simile per TeXStudio: dovresti dare un’occhiata alle modalità per installare i dizionari nelle varie lingue, che di solito sono quelli di OpenOffice.org.
Un consiglio posso darti, da insegnante di Italiano: evita nel modo più assoluto di affidarti a completamenti e correzioni automatiche. Perché mai un programma dovrebbe correggerti automaticamente un errore? Che ne sa lui di cosa vuoi effettivamente scrivere? Questo significa che ti puoi comodamente e rilassatamente permettere di scrivere come vuoi, tanto il programma ti corregge lo svarione. Il che equivale ad assumere pessime abitudini di scrittura, che si risolvono nella grande maggioranza dei casi in erroracci quando, magari pochissime volte nella vita, sarai costretto/a a prendere una penna in mano e scrivere qualcosa.
Lascia perdere, credimi: disabilita tutto e vedrai che scrivere ‘stig’ o ‘stigmatizzazione’ è lo stesso. Anche perché se tu in uno stesso testo avessi

stigmatequando scrivi ‘stig’ ti compare una tendina in cui scegliere la forma corretta, e perderesti una marea di tempo. 🙂
Analogamente per le correzioni automatiche: con certi programmi si può scrivere “pò “, che diventa automaticamente “po’ ” premendo la barra spaziatrice. Ti abitui talmente a scriverlo in modo scorretto che poi a penna scriveresti “pò”! Facendo un figurone 😉

L’editor consente la ricerca diretta inversa (anche se non con semplice ctrl+click); e permette di cercare e sostituire su tutti i file del progetto!

AntonioDunque, sembra che TeXnicle non sia malissimo. Dovrebbe permettere di fare trova e sostituisci in tutti i file del progetto, cosa che TeXShop non permette di fare. Le codifiche accettate sono ancora poche, mentre non compare tra i motori xelatex, ma mi pare che si possa installare.
Siamo ancora lontani dall’editor perfetto, né secondo me è un traguardo necessario. Forse si può scrivere agli autori del programma per dar loro stimoli. Si potrebbe fare una lista delle cose necessarie. L’interfaccia è gradevolmente essenziale, per me, e il PDFviewer è buono. L’avete provato?
Comincio io:
1. possibilità di aprire un file scegliendo al volo la codifica, naturalmente se conosciuta;
2. capacità di interpretare le righe di commento speciali;

forse è un tema già trattato e chiedo scusa in anticipo, ma ho il problema come da oggetto. Per ovviare alle famose legature “fi”, “fl” e via dicendo so che:
1) LaTeX provvede automaticamente a ciò
2) i font dovrebbero essere predisposti avendo già dei caratteri appositi
3) si può procedere manualmente inserendo {} sia per parole semplici che composte
Ora la 1) e 2) non (mi) funzionano mentre la 3) bisognerebbe prima di tutto sapere quali e quante sono queste famose legature e quindi procedere di conseguenza ma non credo sia la strada migliore tranne, forse, che per le parole composte.
Uso sia MiKTeX 2.9+TeXStudio che TeXLive 2011+TeXMaker con codifica sia latin1 che utf8 ed un preambolo semplice come:

Sì, LaTeX provvede automaticamente a mettere le legature, a patto che il font che usi le preveda: non tutti, infatti, hanno i glifi con le legature.
Le legature più frequenti sono: fi, ffi, fl, ffl e ff. Ce ne sono altre, come ct e st, ma qui si sconfina nelle legature storiche.
Potresti scrivere un documento con XeLaTeX, che rende semplice usare le legature con comandi del tipo:
`\setmainfont[Ligatures={TeX,Historic}]{Linux Libertine O}`
per esempio. Ti consiglio di leggere il documento Introduzione a XeLaTeX di Enrico, scaricabile dalla sezione Documentazione qui sopra.
Altrimenti, da’ un occhio alla documentazione di alcuni bei font. Per esempio, se con LaTeX usi il font Kp (texdoc kpfonts), trovi anche le indicazioni per ottenere le legature normali e storiche.
Per quanto riguarda le parole composte, forse è necessaria una mbox:

Alla fine la mia decisione è la seguente: nel testo ci metto i caratteri Sonata Regular creandomi un comando per le figure ed uno per le pause, in maniera tale che io possa utilizzare la nomenclatura anglosassone w, h, q, ecc. per le figure senza impazzire, ed impazzendo invece nel collegare le stesse lettere alle pause con un apposito comando. Il font Sonata Regular, infatti, mi pare molto simile a quello che utilizza Lilypond e non saranno certo i miei pochi lettori ad accorgersi che si tratta di caratteri differenti, visto che spesso non distinguono la epsilon dalla xi, e non sto scherzando!
Non lo faccio spesso, e me ne rammarico, ma voglio ringraziare di tutto cuore tutti quanti gli utilizzatori di questo forum: la vostra pazienza e la vostra gentilezza hanno contribuito ad ampliare l’orizzonte delle mie conoscenze ed anche a farmi sentire un po’ meno bietolone nell’uso del LaTeX. Ultimamente non mi sono fatto sentire troppo, scusa. Senti, temo di non aver ancora capito che ti serve esattamente. Se me lo spieghi ancora una volta, vedo di trovare il modo con Lily. La documentazione è molto incasinata, ma si può fare di tutto, veramente. Dunque, se non ho capito male ti serve una cosa del tipo:

Giusto? Cioè tu vorresti mettere in un contesto testuale simboli musicali allineati al testo? Te lo chiedo perché avevo capito che a te serviva una cosa del tipo:

Quasi sicuramente nella tua cartella di lavoro c’è un file suftesi.cls di una versione precedente. Trovalo e cancellalo.
